SIL
determination and SIF design application including:
• Client configurable
risk graphs or matrices
• Import safeguards
nominated within SILHazop™
• The SIL determination
team captured for each assessment
• Facilities
to raise actions with direct e-mail option
• Optimisation
of the elements and design architecture
• M out of N
calculation capability for all elements
• Common mode ‘beta’ factor
determination
• Calculation
of Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD)
• Calculation
of optimal maintenance and test intervals
• Credit for
independent protection layers (IPL)
• Safe Failure
Fraction and Hardware Fault Tolerance calculation
This application
has been independently third party validated.
The
SILClass™ ‘front end’ application contains
the following functionality:
Bulk import and export capability of SIF data, and import of reliability
data using spreadsheets.
To perform
SIL determination using client configurable risk graphs,
or matrices, which include safety, economic and environmental
consequences capability, plus an option to take credit for
independent protection layers (IPL).
Capturing
the assessment team details, for each function, with actions
recorded and emailed if required.
Optimisation
of the components/elements, that are used in the design architecture
for the protective function, with M out of N calculation
capability for initiators, logic solvers and final elements.
Calculation
of the Probability of Failure on Demand (PFD), for each selected
design, as well as Safe Failure Fraction and Hardware Fault
Tolerance.
Determination
of the ‘beta’ factor contribution to the PFD
associated with Common Cause/Common Mode failures.
To provide
optimised maintenance period and test interval for each element.
Imported
PFD capability to facilitate the insertion of a pre-calculated
PFD value (i.e. a PFD calculated out with SILClass™)
for an initiator, logic solver or final element.
The independent ‘back
end’ database can contain the following specific
data:
• Multiple
system creation
• Equipment/Maintenance
codes
• Multiple
database creation
• Safe
Failure Fractions calculations
• Reliability
data depositary
• Hardware
Fault Tolerance capability
• Configurable risk
graphs & matrices
• Maintenance
and testing data
• Design
architecture
• Pre-alarm
settings, if required
• P & ID
and Cause & Effect references
• Spreadsheet
import and export
• SIL
determination results
• Comprehensive
reporting
The
following four access levels are provided:
1. Administrator
to add users and allocate their passwords.
2. Individual
user level for specified databases to which user access is
granted with full editing capability of any functionality.
3. Restricted
access for running reports and amending test frequencies.
4. Read
only access for viewing data and running reports.
